Kill those mayors, judges so drug’s war is vs rich, too

After President Rodrigo Duterte implicated several judges, mayors, former mayors, and other officials and non-officials of the Philippine National Police to protect narcotic dealers, ordered the revocation of their firearms’ permits, and withdrawals of their security details from the PNP, these public luminaries and those police officials are now vulnerable to assassination from the death squads.

Since many Filipinos complaint at the sidelined that those almost 1000 suspected dangerous drug characters killed by the policemen and death squads came from the Unwashed of the Society - by leaving many of them with a rectangular cardboard with a note: “Tulak ng Druga, Huwag Pamarisan”, it is high time the government or any adventurous groups there to make a sample by shooting to death any one of these luminaries like those judges and mayors to show to  the world the War on Narcs are not only trained against the poor but for the rich and powerful, too.

When I posted at Tweeter the title of this column/blog, former Custom Commissioner Ruffy Biazon, an incumbent congressman of Muntinlupa, reacted:
"No, don't kill them. Make them talk. Dead men tell no tales". 

Hinde na lang ako nag react sa Tweeter. 
But anyway, here's my reaction to Congressman Ruffy, a good friend:
 Ang mga Regional Trial Courts' judges who dismissed drug cases for a fee they don't have bosses to protect. Their bosses are their pockets in exchange for a huge fee to dismiss the non-bailable narcotic peddling cases.
 In  the Philippines if a magistrate dismissed an illegal drug case, it means that's final because our law protects the accused.
So for me,  kill some mayors, kill some judges then you have a DETERRENCE to those who want to become narco coddlers just like those implicated by the no-nonsense president. 
So for you who disagree with my pronouncement with your antics: 'Spare these mayors, spare these judges" then, son of a gun, we have a dysfunctional and weakling government just like the Benigno Aquino III Administration where "due process of law, as mandated by the Constitution, had been BASTARDIZED by these judges and prosecutors.

Embalmer talks about a dead hunchback

For several weeks already I’ve been strutting with gusto my gab, er, chatter on “talk radio”.

 It is a co-anchor morning broadcast opened by Eagle’s Jack Walsh’s rock piece “Life in a Fast Lane”.

In my early endeavors, I invited public officials like Congressman Pol Bataoil, Dagupan City Mayor Belen T. Fernandez, local government units’ officials and even heads of private industries like the Information Technology and Business Process Management (IT-BPM).

It’s a self-learning experience. For example, I just learned in my research before I faced my guest that the ICT-BPM is a $25 billion for this year business.
 Thanks to our cheap and American English proficient labor force, the Indians who used to reign on this industry was literally biting the dust from us Flips, er, Filipinos 

“That $25 billion is almost near the $28 billion remittances yearly sent by our 2.4 million overseas contract workers (results from the 2015 Survey),” I quipped when  Wilson Manalo, Vice President of ICT Council in Dagupan City, told me about the 2016 revenue projection in our country from ICT-BPM.

This “Sunshine Industry” that presently employed more than a million Filipinos is projected to generate up to $55 billion by 2020 or roughly 11 percent of the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP), according to World Bank estimates.

The ICT-BPO jibes with Dagupan City’s Mayor Belen Fernandez three growth areas program where the mayor wanted to snare 5000 jobs in three years for the people in and outside of the burgeoning city to have jobs as animators, call center agents, software developers, game developers, engineering designers, and medical transcriptionists.

Even the Pangasinan's provincial government and Mangaldan’s local government unit, as I monitored in media outlets, want to emulate Mayor Fernandez who positions the city as haven for IT-BPM.

Many of our radio interviews were simultaneously videoed through social media’s Face Book live feed so more people could watch or hear the program.

Lately, I and Audrey Hidalgo had a series of interviews with the city’s hottest band Les Five, an undertaker, and an embalmer --- the last two were timed after the spate of killings of narcotic peddlers by the police and death squads

I was looking to interview, too midgets or ‘dwarfs,  gays with big implanted boobs, labandera (laundry hand washers), other queer individuals.

I plan to discuss with them how they lived, their priorities in life, others.

I even sang the Eagle’s piece “Desperado” in that radio and video program after Les Five rendered Fra Lippo Lippi’s “Stiches and Burns” and Apo Hiking Society’s “When I Met You”.

As I posted the kind of program we were foisting to the amused listeners and watchers at FB from various places in the world, Michelle Zarate Liaonag, a woman of class and substance and owner of the music bar Rag Time, commented to me at FB:

“There is variety! Great concept! You can tackle anything under the sun whether it is current issues, lifestyle or what have you”.

How thieves in the gov’t divide loot

Kalabaw na kasali sa fiesta sa Ozamiz City pinagbabaril ng mga pulis.

Kasalukuyang iniimbestigahan pa ng joint teams ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) at Criminal Investigation Detection Group (CIDG) kung nang-agaw din ng baril ang kalabaw gaya ng mga drug pushers na pinagpapatay ng mga alagad ng batas.

 “CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – A carabao that was part of the activities of Ozamiz City’s annual fiesta ran amok on Saturday.

Witnesses said the carabao, a full grown male bull, lost its temper when it was paraded around the Birhen sa Cotta grounds where the final judging of street dancing also took place.

The street dancing competition was one of the highlights of the Subayen Keg Subanen Festival”.

A big time private contractor with the government told me how he and public officials earn in a, say, ten million pesos farm-to-market road in a town.

“15 percent lang ang tubo ko diyan. 15 percent bigay ko sa congressman, 5 percent sa DPWH (Department of Public Works & Highway) for the boys nila to divide, and 10 percent kay mayor,” he enumerated.

He cited that before he wins the bidding for the project at the DPWH, he first get the nod of the other two bidders (required by law) who would quote the first two highest bid to make the project so they would lose while my source, who bids the lowest ten million project wins.

“I will give them P300 thousand to divide among them or to those other bidders who are interested to the project”.

When I asked him how much he shell-out to the village chief that host the farm-to-market road, he told me he gives the “kapitan” P5000 as token of appreciation in signing the document to attest the program of works in his barangay had already been done by his construction firm.

DAGUPAN CITY – The five active and retired police generals incriminated by President Rodrigo Duterte who coddle illegal drug lords should be braved enough to face their accuser, Pangasinan Congressman Leopoldo Bataoil said.

5 GENERALS. House Representative Leopoldo Bataoil (2^nd District, Pangasinan) gives his takes to Mortz C. Ortigoza, co-anchor of Sonshine Radio 9:00 to 10:00 Am weekdays program, on the five active and retired police generals incriminated by President Rodrigo Duterte to be in cahoots with illegal drug lords.

Bataoil is a retired two-star police general before he became a congressman in 2010. He is on his last term in Congress.

“If they are truly involved they have to face the consequences of their actions, they have to be braved enough to involve themselves on the illegal activity they should be braved enough to face the consequences of their actions. But if they are not involved they have to defend themselves even in Plaza Miranda,” the solon stressed.

Bataoil, a former two-star police general, said since the president has implicated the alleged involvement of former Region 6 Director Bernardo Diaz, former National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Director Joel Pagdilao and former Quezon City’s Police Office’s Director Edgardo Tinio and retired generals Vicente Loot, who is now mayor of Daan Bantayan, and Marcelo Garbo.

In his speech during the 69th anniversary  of the Philippine Air Force, the President jolted the nation through television when he announced the names of these generals and their involvement in dangerous drugs.

U.S War Jets Frequent Fly-By near Scarborough

INFANTA, Pangasinan – United States war jets have been seen making regular flyby in this coastal town, according to a village official of Barangay Cato here.

Jowe Legaspi, a village councilor, said that every week he saw thundering American jets flying low here as they proceeded to the location of Scarborough Shoal.

Legaspi was one of the 16 of this rustic town's fishermen who asked the United Nations' Commissioner for Human Rights last September 2015 to direct China to respect their rights to their traditional fishing grounds at the Scarborough or Panatag Shoal in the West Philippine Sea.
He said the personnel of the Chinese Coast Guard barred him and fellow fishermen to fish at the Scarborough Shoal, 260 kilometers from here.

The jets Legaspi has been seeing with regularity here were probably the five A-10 Thunderbolt attack aircraft left by the Americans after the April 2016’s Balikatan (Military Exercise).

The pugnacious twin engines’ A-10s passed by at the Shoal in April 19 to send a message to China that the area was for free aerial and maritime navigations.

The U.S used the airports at Subic, 204 kilometers from here, and the one at Clark Field in the nearby Pampanga province.

The Americans left Subic, Clark, and other U.S Bases in the Philippines after the Philippine Senate did not ratify in 1991 the treaty extending their stay in the country.

The Chinese took the Shoal in 2012 as part of her Nine-Dash Doctrine. But the Philippine government filed a case at the U.N Arbitral Tribunal in The Hague in early of 2013.
The Tribunal ruled in favor of the Philippines in July 12 this year.

Legaspi, in his middle of 40s, recalls the when he was a kid he and his older brother would fish near the firing range of the Americans in the Shoal.

“Pag nandiyan na iyang eroplano aalis na kami, lilipad ng mababa sa amin na nag wawarning na alis na kami sa Karboro,” he chuckled.

The mostly Visaya speaking Fishermen, from this town, Sta. Cruz, Masinloc, and Subic, Zambales who fish at Scarborough call the Shoal for brevity as “Karboro”.

The U.S. Navy used Bajo de Masinloc, another name of the Shoal, as an impact or bombing range. The concrete slabs were needed as “sinkers” to keep the balance of the old decrepit ships which were placed in the shoal for the U.S. Navy’s shooting and bombing runs.

“Pakpak niya, parang twin bodies,” Legaspi described the plane which could be the turbo powered OV-10 Bronco manufactured by North American Rockwell.
