DRONES AND ATV - The sibling John Paul Rodas Perez, 23, and Jhe
Rodas Perez, 19, who aspire for the seat of the punong barangay (village chief)
and the chairmanship of the Sangguniang Kabataan in Barangay Cabilocaan in
Calasiao, Pangasinan, respectively, stand prominently at the platform of their
All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) where they lead the motorcade of their slates and
supporters for the 2018 Barangay & Sangguniang Kabataan Election (BSKE) two
days before the May 14, 2018 poll.
The village has 1,700 voters according to John Paul.
The brood is children of San Manuel,
Pangasinan Mayor Alain Jerico S. Perez. John Paul is pitted with seasoned
Punong Barangay Cesar Legaspi.
Legaspi, according to a source, is groomed by Calasiao, Mayor Joseph Arman Bauzon to be his President of the League of Barangays - a position that is equivalent to a member of the Sangguniang Bayan (town council). But that plan to be an ex-officio councilor will be a pipe dream If the young well-funded Perez defeats him in today’s poll. Both candidates of the top village post were rumored to use drones to spy each other in their nine days’ stumps. |
